Bothy Hearth loose-leaf green tea is a Great British Food Awards 2026 Finalist!
I still can’t quite believe it, but I’m so excited to tell you that Bothy Hearth has been selected as a Finalist in the Tea category for the Great British Food Awards 2026.
When I started Wander Cuppa, it was simply because I couldn’t find the kind of loose-leaf teas I wanted. Interesting, properly flavoured and just a little bit different.
Bothy Hearth is one of my absolute favourites. It’s a warming spiced green tea made from camellia sinensis, smooth, gently aromatic and perfect for a quiet infusion when the Scottish weather turns crisp. Or whenever you just need a moment to pause. As a loose-leaf green tea, it offers a balanced cup with no bitterness when brewed carefully.
To see it recognised alongside so many wonderful small producers and established brands means the world to me.
Thank you so much to the judging panel for this honour. And a huge thank you to every single one of you who has tried it, shared it, or told me how much you love it, that’s what makes this all worthwhile.
If you haven’t tried Bothy Hearth yet, you can find it here: Bothy Hearth, along with all the other blends, including loose-leaf green teas, black teas, tea infusions and teas from around the world. If you enjoy exploring green tea loose tea options, it’s a lovely place to start, whether you prefer classic styles, jasmine tea-inspired aromas or matcha green tea for a more vibrant cup.
Green tea has long been valued by tea lovers and wellness enthusiasts alike, with a gentle character that suits mindful drinking. While people often search for green tea for its anti-inflammatory properties or as part of weight loss routines, the real pleasure here is in the flavour, aroma and the calm of a well-made infusion.
The awards ceremony is in October and whatever happens then, being named a finalist is already such a lovely milestone. Thank you for being part of this journey 💛
